A small app.
A simple setup.
Tiny Stats 2.0 is a native menu bar monitor for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 13 Ventura or later.
Preview release. This download is locally signed, but does not have a Developer ID signature or Apple notarization. macOS may block the downloaded app. It is not an App Store release. Only proceed if you trust the source; do not disable Gatekeeper or other Mac security protections.
Install the preview
- Download Tiny Stats 2.0 and open the ZIP file.
- Move Tiny Stats.app into your Applications folder. If an earlier version is running, quit it first.
- Open Tiny Stats. CPU appears above RAM in the menu bar. If macOS blocks launch, review Apple’s guidance for apps from outside the App Store and make your own trust decision. You can also build the provided source locally.
- Click the meter to see GPU usage, memory pressure, recent history, and top processes. If the item is hidden, check macOS Menu Bar settings and available space beside the notch.
Set it up your way
Open Settings from the dashboard to enable launch at login, change RAM from percentage to gigabytes, adjust text size, and choose a refresh interval. Slower intervals use less energy.
Build from source
Download the Swift source, extract it, and run ./build.sh from its folder with Xcode installed. The script builds the app and runs its included checks. No third-party runtime dependencies are required.
Reading the numbers
CPU shows a share of your Mac’s total processing capacity. Process CPU readings use the same scale, so they may differ from tools that count each core as 100%. Memory use estimates app, wired, and compressed memory, excluding file cache and purgeable pages. GPU usage comes from driver counters and is unavailable on unsupported configurations.
Remove Tiny Stats
Turn off launch at login in Settings, quit Tiny Stats, then move Tiny Stats.app from Applications to the Trash. Recent history disappears when the app quits; display preferences remain in your Mac’s local preferences.
